The must-have ticket of the year may be for “Hamilton,” on Broadway, but vying for popularity on the South Shore is home-delivered meals from brand-new Clandestine Kitchen, which already has a wait list of customers.
Not even a year old, the company’s philosophy supports clean eating and healthy choices. “Eat food that fuels your lifestyle and your goals,” says company founder Courtney Doyle, who discourages counting calories. “It’s less about the numbers and more about helping our clients feel energetic, alive and satisfied,” she says. Currently, West Coast transplant Doyle and her team deliver a tasty array of plant-based meals in Hingham and Cohasset, but they plan to expand their reach and also to sell at retail locations in the near future. With the goal of promoting total family wellness, Doyle’s three children, ages 12, 11 and 9, taste everything on the Clandestine Kitchen menu—gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free recipes that often include ingredients from area farms and other local purveyors.
As proof that clean eating is delicious as well as nutritious, Doyle prepares gazpacho, chipotle and black bean shakshuka, curry cauliflower tacos and tri-color Greek quinoa salad, among many other dishes, all if which come with the choice to add various clean proteins (grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish, air-chilled chicken, etc). Community business partners supply green juices and other wellness products. With summer coming, it’s a great time to let Clandestine Kitchen do the cooking for you!
