CREATED BY SISTERS CHRISTINE SOMMERS AND STACY LEHANE, these jarred preserves are made in small batches, using locally grown produce. The two women source organic cranberries from Fresh Meadows Farm in Carver and strawberries and peaches from Plympton’s Sauchuk Farm. Asian pears are plucked from their branches at Sky Meadow Orchards in Scituate. Choose from a variety of sweet to spicy flavors, including the popular strawberry jam, carrot cake jam and combination peach, orange and ginger marmalade.
Like the flavor options, the uses for these homemade jams and jellies are endless. The tasty spreads make a perfect accompaniment to grilled meats, become a quick fruit-flavored vinaigrette when mixed with oil and vinegar, and double as a warm topping for ice cream. Packaged in adorable jars with colorful fabric swatches, the jams also make great gifts.
